    My steak-loving sweetheart and I celebrated our 1st "monthsary" the other day and I wanted to go to a place that was:
    > both relaxing and beautiful, without being too pretentious or stiff
    > had a great rib eye steak (my honey's favorite), without the roadhouse/cowboy steakhouse ambiance
    > had other good selections for non-steak lovers
    > and, of course, had a good price.

    I found it all at La Maison in Greenbelt 5. It was the first time that we ate there and the steak was just beautiful to behold and tasted wonderful! Even I liked it. The service was good; very polite and helpful staff. The ambiance was quiet and cozy, stylish but relaxed. Perfect for a date.

    The overall we really had a great dining experience.

    Something that I would like them to improve on would be having more variety and larger portions for the side dishes for the steaks, and including sidings as part of their barkada/family packages. It might also be a good idea to give out discount/freebie cards/coupons for the next visit to guests, and to give out some token item to guests who are there on a special occasion. When I made reservations I did mention that it was the first time that we were going to eat at their place and we were celebrating our first anniversary (monthsary...I know...I fibbed). I was secretly hoping that they would give us a little something like a scoop of ice cream or a discount or anything to help us celebrate...but alas there was none. That didn't really ruin the evening for either of us, but I think it would have made me want to go back there even sooner.
