    Fish Out of Water uses local ingredients in their dishes. Examples: Vigan longganisa found its way in their pizza and kesong puti in the cheesecake.
    I have eaten here twice already... and I am still craving for their baby squid appetizer!

    Finally, my family and I got to try Cafe Juanita. It's an eclectic place with an eclectic menu.
    The restaurant has this cozy feel that makes you want to stay longer than necessary. It is surrounded with interesting things that are for sale (yey!).
    Each table has a bell that you ring when you need a server. Even if the place was fully packed that time, our call was promptly addressed.
    Prices are really reasonable.
    Among the dishes we ordered, these stood out:
    1. Pasta Filpina. It's a creamy angel hair pasta with crab fat as a sauce base.
    2. Laing Bicolano.
    3. Sisig on Tofu. An interesting take on incorporating healthy food items to sinfully delicious dishes.
    Must try desserts:
    1. Cassava cake. Served warm, not too sweet (for me, that is.. hehe). It's not like the cassava cakes I've had before. They made the top part soft... I like it this way.
    2. Mini turon. The turon are really small and there are only 3 per order. The bananas are wrapped in lumpia wrapper, fried, then dipped in caramel, and topped with sesame seeds. There is a hint of ginger... yum.. I'm coming back for more!
    3. Toffee pudding served with vanilla ice cream. At first the sweetness of this dessert exceeded my limit. I thought I will only have a spoonful of it. But then the aftertaste of butter hits me. It gave me tingles that I could not stop myself from finishing the whole slice!
