I've been here once and I didn't like the food. Pizza was terrible.

And last night when I tried dining here, obviosuly wasn't my choice, but was swayed in coming back by my curious partner. We were ignored and we waited for a waiter or someone to say Hi or get our order but were ignored for so may minutes. And the bad thing about the whole experience is not just anticipation of the bad food, it's the ambience - Music was too loud for a lazy sunday evening - a few of the staff saw us and actually looked at us but never approached us. Wsd trying to be patient, but my very patient GF got impatient (that's a first, wow!) and we just left qand settled for fast food.

Food: The New York Sirloin Steak is a killer. It's the bomb!!! KABOOM!!! The best steak ever.

Service: It was good, very attentive waiters even when the place was packed.

Ambience: Well, looks very western. Just a bit too noisy. But what the heck, the food is excellente!

Value: Of course there's a price for quality and quantity, moreso, when it's fused together.

I'll try the rib-eye next time. Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

    from a magazine
    Cosa Nostra, Malate

One of the risks (well an obvious one, so my fault) in discovering a restaurant from a magazine is the obvious fact that a mag writer wouldn't say anything bad about an establishment. Magazine was even probably paid to feature the resto.

Food - Terrrible! The mushroom and salami pizza tasted a bit like fish. And the garlic cream cheese with italian sausage tasted like water.

Service - was excellent. The waiter definitely knew the menu from front to end. But still doesn't help the taste of the food in anyway.

Ambiance - Superb!!! defintely a good date place (except for the food). it looked and smelled like old Manila (literally). Very personal and private, very... romantic.

value - I can't really say much about this. food is terrible, place was great. Choose your poison.

The good, the bad and the ugly.
    SOMS Noodle House, Makati

Food is okay, not bad... not at all bad. At least what we ordered - Green Curry Chicken and Pork Satae. Maybe should try their Thai Iced Tea since it's highly recommended by most people.

Service? sigh... oh well, it's a hole in the wall place. Enough said.

Ambiance is somewhat cool 'coz you can dine at the bangketa where a lot of foreigners and sexy models are hangin'out ala Phuket / Pratunam street restaurant. As Robin said "dami talaga foreigners chaka model dito. PJ tingnan mo yun oh! ang sexy!" - Domz the "good" (single)

Value is okay, they have gotten more expensive than a year ago, so medyo expensaive na rin kahit papano. The Ugly was pleased with the curry so I guess I will be back.

BS means Bad Service, ok? You're malicious huh?! just kiddin'. Anyway, just wanted to write a short review of how bad service in this particular TOSH is. I have had meals here for a cuople of times now but I still can't ignore the fact that waiters and waitresses are somewhat arrogant. I know they are busy and tired, but a little manners would be nice. There's this patricular waiter which manners I have ignored but can no longer resist. Food here is okay, not really a "wow" but if the service doesn't improve and they keep on talking to customers in a rude manner and if they speak to people as if we are stupid then I guess you'll read another review from me. Perhaps a month of rest until I try this Italian resto and we'll see...

    Steakhouse?
    Outback Steakhouse, Alabang Town Center
    Rating - 2.25 - 2.25 - 2.25 - 2.25 - 2.25

Food: whatever happened to Outback being a steakhouse? The Filet Mignon almost tasted the same with the steak that I eat on weekends that's just worth PhP130, I asked for it to be well done and the first time I got it - well.. it was done medium so i guess that already says a lot about. My mom didn't even like the Chicken and Shrimp Fettuccine (my mom is a sucker for shrimps), but in fairness, my youngest brother at least think it was yummy. I find the onion rings (typhoon bloom) so so... and the chicken on the barbie, just average taste for a well served chuiky chicken breasts. If it was only cooked better, or at least glzed with some sauce.

Service: is not so good. It was so hard to get a waitress to come to our table and the bill took a million years to get. But somehow, the niceness of the attendees were felt.

Amabiance: fantastic. probably because I like dining in places with wood fixtures all over, like staying in a cabin. And the air conditioning waas just right, felt nice that it made all of us feel very sleepy (it's positive).

Value : I'd say is too expensive for the quality. bordering to a bit expensive for the value. generally.. so so..

Reservation: N/A it was the person who I met for the lunch meeting who made the reservation.

Food: I'm so disappointed, it wasns't even half of what I expected. But then again, pasata was the recommended food, but I ordered baked duck so it sucked.

Service: 2 thumbs up! quick and efficient service.

Overall: It was a so so experience, not worth the price, but maybe i'll try the pasta next time.

Food: is just average, nothing really fancy with the taste. though their curry really is rich in the curry flavor without being too much for the senses.

Service: is good, they were attentive with the requestes and the waiter really knew almost everything we asked about the dishes. However, i wish they didn't take out plates until it was empty.

Amabiance: was alright for a first timeer like me, it was pleasant to the eyes. cool lighting. except for the noisy atmosphere.

Value : I'd say is too expensive for the quality. bordering too expensive to somewhat just right being in a posh mall.

    Chefs' Quarter, Robinson Place Manila

When my GF and I got there, they immediately escorted us to our table. The place looks nice and clean. The ambiance was terrific, I really loved the smooth jazz music and it gave the feeling of a laid back and relaxing atmosphere. I’m not a salad eater at all, but I was able to eat the Caprese and Escargot and Mushroom Salad, I just removed the shrimp because I’m allergic to seafood (except to some fresh water fishes and mussels). Salad was very fresh and crisp. And then we were served with the very tender Chef’s Quarter Steak matched with the very delicious potato slices, perfectly fried to an outer crisp but juicy inside, and the very frsh tasting Salmon Steak topped with herbs and potato tots. And then lastly the very impressive dessert, the presentation really put a smile on my GF’s face. Desserts were creamed strawberry on some sort of a cone and the other was a chocolate cake with ice cream on top, the top of the cake where the ice cream was sitting, was a solid chunk of chocolate, delicioso!!! Service was excellent and friendly, very very accommodating. And the food is excellent, and ambiance was awesome! I’ll definitely go back to Chef’s Quarters in Midtown. I can’t wait to try out the other food in the menu. Superb experience! It sure is a date place.

When I first tried Sinangag EXpress in President's Ave., it was one hell of a sinangag. They served us freshly cooked, and very yummy sinangag in the wee hours of the morning. But when i tried the one in Phase3 BF, they served what seemed to be rice form yesterday. But generally, their food is great for the price, i just hope they are consistent with the kind of rice they serve in both branches. and the service is terrible in both branches.

one more thing, i also tried the one in Makati Cinema Square and the food there sucked big time, was not worth it. i suggest consistency otheriwse customers who keep on having bad food in other branches will ruin the franchise.
