Good Place to dine and drink but host is not

2

The venue was good, classy and yet comforting. The elegant bar design and location with its long range of liquor and drink choices was really good. However, the venue's elegant design didn't compensate with the host of the party. Being a host, he didn't perform his "should be" purpose - to entertain the people around him, and this is best portrayed by the almost-none clapping of hands inside the bar. At any rate, the food served was indeed nice. It tastes like a Bistro restaurant and if only I wasn't in a corporate event, I would have plunged even more on the food. Cocktails, Anyone?

Ok, I'll be honest enough to say that we usually hang out by Aruba Bar for the drinks and the live band performers, and not entirely for the food. I've tried out two of their branches, the one located in Metrowalk and the one in SM Mall of Asia. Luckily, Paolo Santos was doing some acoustic stint when we checked out Aruba in Metrowalk. I prefer hanging out at the one in SM Mall of Asia, and so did my balikbayan cousins from Canada when we hung out by the place during their brief visit to the Philippines.

Overall, the place is pretty much ok if you wanna chill with some cocktails and drinks while listening to acoustic stints from local artists, most of them up and coming. However, if you're looking for a place for quiet conversations, then Aruba ain't the place at all, simple because the music is too loud for talks of that sort. ^_^
