Bad Customer Relations

We are planning to celebrate our grandmother's birthday at chinatown's best food but to our dismay their customer's relation is so bad. We are reserving for 54 person(mix of adult and kids), they required a downpayment, in which was fine with us. But to our disappointment that they insist we give them the EXACT # of adult and kids attending prior to the party. They have a +/- allowance of 5 person and was told that they will hold the unoccupied slots for just 15 mins from the time of reservation. We really felt like they don't care if we decide to eat there or elsewhere.

We have reserved numerous restaurants before and we havent enountered a restaurant that is so arrogant and they feel that they are the superior than other 5-star hotels/restaurants! I have eaten here for 2x already and the food was good but not bad either).

I do hope that they will change their customer relations. Make the customers feel that they are welcome and be more accomodating.

One of the BEST Buffet's for 500 pesos!

I have been going to Chinatown's Best Food for maybe the past decade and it has become one of my favorite restaurants whenever I crave for chinese foods. For those familiar with Chinatown's Best, they renovated after the ONDOY flood giving the restaurant a very chic and modern look. I love their new lay out especially in the buffet dining area!

They have an extensive menu which includes Peking duck, prawn salad, calamares, pata-tim, king crab, steamed fish and so many others- sweeet and sour pork, fish fillet, beef dishes, chicken dishes, noodles, soup, salads, grilled items and the list goes on. They even have sushi and tempura among the chinese feast and let us not forget desserts and bottomless drinks! All this for 518 pesos.

I also was able to take advantage of the 30% off opening promo if you dine there during lunch on weekdays bringing the price to only 388! NOW that is real value for your money! This promo ran up to November 2010 but maybe because it is the Christmas season, they do not offer it anymore. I hope they bring back this promo next year! :)

For 518 pesos- I don't think we could really ask for anything more!

great value

last time I visited this restaurant was in circa 2005 to celebrate my sister-cousin's graduation. Fair enough for food lovers.

Nanay's best 80th Birthday

We choose to celebrate here our Nanay's 80th Birthday because we know they served the best food and service, and that are all true! We have celebrated her birthday wonderfully, they set-up a beautiful room for us (we have a big big big family), they served there delicious foods: Pata Tim, calamares, fish fillet, chicken (I forgot the name), beef with mushrooms, pancit so delicious and a dessert...There service was great even the owner I think (the lady) assist us, the waiters are very a simple word...we have a great birthday celebration here...
