A Taste of Jake's Adobo

3

I was waiting for a friend over at SM Mall of Asia where we’re supposed to get together for lunch, go see a movie, and then probably do a bit of shopping on the side. I arrived first so I scouted for a good waiting place to rest my lazy feet. I spotted KKK and since there were still a few people inside with lots of space (It was only 10:30 a.m. so people haven’t been piling up to have lunch yet.) I went inside, informed the waiter that I’d probably order something later on, and then sent an SMS to my friend informing her where I was. After a few minutes she arrived and we decided to have an early lunch. Problem was, we couldn’t decide what to eat. I then noticed the poster on top from where I was sitting that said “Adobo ni Jake Espesyal”. My friend and I looked at each other and smiled. KKK it is!

We ordered Adobo ni Jake, Sisig Pampanga, and Baked Tahong coupled with rice. The food was very Pinoy, and the adobo was worth the poster and all. Sarap! It’s the kind of like a home-cooked meal experience. In a matter of minutes, people (mostly families that come in groups of 5 and up) started coming in and calling for their order to be taken. We both ordered Halo-halo and stayed for another hour, just talking and savoring another hearty meal. As for the price, it’s really affordable and suits the budget pretty well. Overall, KKK was a nice Pinoy gastronomic experience.

KKK for Kaldereta

2

I've been here several times and have always ordered the "Kaldereta San Miguel". It's always nice and the beef is tender. There have been times when it was drizzled with cream and other times it was not.
I also like the fact that they serve arce ice cream.
