Very disappointing

2

Went to tagaytay april 12 2012 and decided to eat at Leslie's restaurant since people recommended it to us.

Upon entering the restaurant 2 girls were talking to each other but none of them said good evening to us. While waiting for the food there was a cat. When the food arrived I was very disappointed on how it looked. Really not appetizing. The waiter gave us free Bulalo soup. Thanks for that cause it was the only food we loved. We ordered the chicken barbeque, garlic kangkong and sugba platter. Kangkong was too salty. Chix bbq was ok. I was very excited for the sugpo in the platter but I only ate 1 piece because it doesn't taste good. Hay. I'd rather eat in Chicboy or mcdo. We were really disappointed.

Btw it was our first time to eat there and will definitely be the last.

Not nice

I only have 3 things to discuss...

1. Food is not great, too salty. We ordered Bistek, Sisig, Bulalo and Rice. nothing special, overpriced I'd say as the food doesn't taste that good...

2. I'll never come back here again, service is average, waiting an hour for the food to come isn't nice...

3. There's a place just right acroos the street, not really hidden but the name is LZM, food is much much better there, it's in the 2nd floor of the building in front of Leslie's/Starbucks...

robbery at leslie's

1

Too expensive compared to Josephine's. Flies is everywhere. I think they should invest on electric fly traps. Waiters are busy chatting. Waited for a couple of minutes before someone noticed that I need something considering that there are only 4 tables taken( it was a weekday) and waiters is around 7 i think. some even demonstrating their basketball moves. Bulalo is just goodand the rice I'm not sure but it is exactly the same as an NFA rice. High price is acceptable as long as the quality of food being served is really A1. But sorry it's a robbery for me

UNREMARKABLY GOOD

Me and my partner went to Leslie's for lunch. We ordered Bulalo Original and Pork Sisig.

The Bulalo was unexceptional though I would say that the serving was really big. A bit pricey for 2 people but ok if shared by 4. The Pork Sisig was unappetizing by the look coz it's like a coarsely chopped liempo on a sizzling plate with some finely chopped onion. Since we ordered for it, we tasted it no matter how unappetizing it looks like. The Verdict: still unexceptional but it really tastes like SISIG! :D I felt that the price of their steamed rice is kinda steep for 49/order considering the quality of it.

Service is kinda fast.

The only catch on this resto is the good view of Taal.

good for 3-4persons per plate, nice nipa hut seats facing taal, we appreciate it better without singers doing every table.service charge is steep but food is ok.service is fast.

insect escapades..

2

went here last night at around 8 pm , wasnt able to get a good seat at the overlooking area reception said that area was already closed, so we had no choice but to stay inside which looks and feels just like any other restos in tagaytay. while waiting for the food, saw a rat running around , and when i was about to drink my juice saw a tiny insect swimming. ordered sinigang na baboy and chicken barbecue taste was normal no presentation at all. only positive thing i can think about are the singing group which was impressive they can sing different languages like there was a table with japanese diners and they sang 2 jap songs , also a table of chinese diners and they sang a chinese song pretty good :) anyway i dont think will dine here again..

not goin' back

we gave leslie's a try, since many people have been raving about it...

my verdict... food is just so-so... not that it isn't delicious.... it's ok, it's just not great... and prices aren't cheap... it's famous for its bulalo, but it's not "jump off your seat" great... ok lang...

i'm surprised people flock to this resto... prices aren't cheap at all and food is just so-so... it's ok to pay more, but i'd expect something better for the prices they're charging... one good thing about the resto is its view (if you get the tables outside), but for peak hours, don't expect to get good seats... if you don't get a table outside, it's just like eating in a typical filipino resto here in the metro, and you just have to pay more for the tagaytay air... (hehe)

don't expect to get good service too on peak hours... tables are also too close to each other... definitely not my type of resto when i want a relaxed meal...

overall, i don't think i'd be going back... i could get better food, better service, better value elsewhere...

NOT A GOOD RESTAURANT

1

me and my boyfriend decided to try leslie's for the first time because of its popularity...sad to say we were very much disappointed! Yes, they have a very nice view of the taal volcano, but they have very poor service! The waiters were not friendly and not very accommodating. We even brought our bill to the cashier and the waiter who gave us the bill did not even bother to assist us. Oh, i almost forgot...their adobo sucks!
