I have been looking for this resto ever since they closed the branch which used to be inside Glorietta (if my memory serves me right). Although they changed the menu a bit. This is our usual staple (although I order Pad Siew just for myself. lol) and wash everything down with Hot Calamansi. Purrrfect. Happy Tummy :)

Needs improvement on the service

Tom Yam Talei and Fried Rice with Salty Fish were good selections during my first visit here. Both dishes were great and I enjoyed it very much. I just hope on my next visit I wouldn't wait more than 30 min to have my order served.

back to Oodys

My wife and I returned to Oody's just before Christmas. It was 1130am no other customers. Our food took 45 mins to arrive and it was bland and pretty tasteless, nothing much has changed so it must be the standards of the owner/management at fault. Shame as I hoped it would be better.

Terrible Experience

My friend and I decided to have dinner before watching a movie. We came in at 8PM and we were able to decide what to order just a few minutes after we were seated. We noticed that it's been a while since we ordered so we asked the waitress for our food. She asked us if someone took our order already and we told her yes. She then said "naorder na po yung ma'am. Pineprepare na po.". By that time, we have been waiting for around 30 minutes already. She did not even bother offering to check on our food and we even have to ask her to follow it up with the kitchen folks. We gave it another 5 minutes and then we left. I was planning on leaving without telling them. But my friend told the waitress to cancel our order. She was not even apologetic. This is one of the worst, if not the worst, customer service experience I have ever had. They should retrain their people to do better at customer service.

Great value for good Thai food

Some restaurants charge you so much and you expect to be blown away only to get disappointed in the end. Oody's is not that type of restaurant.

With its superb location (in Greenbelt 3) I recommend this resto for Thai food lovers who put emphasis on value. For one thing, I expected prices to be high since it was located in a prime spot. But right when the waitress gave us the menu, oh, what a refreshing surprise.

I ordered of course the Pad Thai, Pad Siew, a shake that was a melange of banana, chocolate and nut and that fried tofu thing (I forgot the names because Thai is so difficult to memorize!). The Pad Thai was not so good, the Pad Siew was superb. Overall the quality of the food was OK in proportion to what we paid for, it was quite a bargain actually.

My first visit to Oody's became a catalyst for many more visits to come. Pag walang masyado budget at crave na talaga for a dine-out, "tara Oody's!"

Although I have to admit customer service leaves much to be desired. I had to call the attention of the waiter 3 times before I got my much-needed glass of cold water (Thai food is spicy!).

Exceedingly Bad customer service at the door

1

I was walking around greenbelt looking for some thai food and I saw this restaurant. The interior looked good inside so I queried the man who was outside the door if there was a take away menu (brochure) so I can see whether my favourite dish would be there so I can come back there to eat another day. He said there was no takeaway menus so I asked what is the average price for dinner here and he said that he did not know "I AM NEW HERE". I thought this was a lazy answer so I just walked away because he was not being helpful. Then when I was waiting for my friend who was in the toilet then the man came back and said "OK YOU GO TO GLORIETTA TO EAT THERE, DONT YOU COME BACK HERE AGAIN". Well i guess from what he said you can see how rude and dodgy and unwelcoming and lazy the man is. Its a shame because the restaurant owner has gone to a lot of effort to make this restaurant very presentable with nice food but unfortunately the owner has disregarded having a good front door man. I would not recommend anyone coming to this restaurant because the front door man is clearly has no people skills and also his grasp of english is very small. He will probably not even get a job as a street vendor. Going to Jolli bee would be a better experience because at least they make you feel welcome there. Its such a shame for a restaurant in the upscale part of manila. Thats what happens if you hire unqualified staff at such a important position.

Ooodys should be Oddys!

I agree with the basic sentiments of the other reviewers eventho they were written some time ago.We visited recently and not much has changed except we didnt get a shoulder massage thank god! They were pretty busy tho....Aircon still drips onto your plate if you sit in the middle of the back wall, staff are totally detached from their customers except for the always enthusiastic girl who tries to lure you in to the place! The food is how i describe most hotel food... bland and samey...very forgettable.,yes I know its not a hotel outlet but you know what i mean! One to be missed off your list of MUST GO places..

Free massage

I sooo much crave for their bagoong rice! Their spring rolls are good also. I have to agree to the review below about the staff not attending much to their customers despite the fact that they only have few customers the time we went there.

They offer free shoulder massage though so it's a plus. Enjoyed it while we're waiting for our orders.

everyone else i know doesn't like oody's

...but i keep coming back, and it's for their pad thai and lychee shake only. srsly. i love their pad thai and lychee shake: perfect combination, sweet vs. spicy.

personally, i find the menu a bit... erm... patronizing, as if thai food can be defined by the few selections that they have (which my hubby says, since he's the one who orders "the other stuff", tastes mostly the same).

granted the place is huge and clean... and since they normally don't have a big number of diners at any given time, it's a great place to take people for meetings or serious chikahan sessions.

i wish i had nice words for their staff but i don't. most of them don't seem to be familiar with the menu (or which ones are unavailable, etc). they aren't as "maasikaso" as other restaurant's staff are and seem to be consumed in gossiping amongst themselves half the time.

i also had the most inconvenient experience ever in oody's when, as newlyweds, my hubby and i dined there to use the gc's we received as gifts (my oody's-abhorring cousins gave them to us). gc's are supposed to function as cash, everyone knows, except that you don't get change in case you underspend. so we overspent a little and added cash when we were paying. we were informed, first by our waitress, then soon by their very unaccommodating manager, that basically, their gc's are only for underspending. in case one overspends, they will separate the bill, one for the gc, and another to be paid for in cash. the gc bill will include tax and sc, while the cash bill will include its separate tax and sc. in other words, the good as cash gc will not function as such. which is plain BS. first and foremost, there was no "rule" whatsoever that was printed on the gc, so they had no right to force whichever implementation on us innocent gc-holders.

i hope someone from oody's will read this review and do something, not only about that gc issue, but about their food and service as well.
