    went to bonifacio high street with my pregnant wife and 2 kids on a saturday night.

    shabu-shabu has always been a good restaurant for us for its good and healthy food.

    our experience with this restaurant at this time was unfortunately, very terrible.

    when i asked for a table for 5, the lady at the front just handed me a menu and told me to wait outside. she then continued to chat up with a male companion. this is despite the fact that it was hot outside, and there were a lot of vacant tables inside. i wanted to ask about the menu, but it seemed she had more important things to do.

    when we got the table and asked for high chairs for my two sons, they said there weren't any available. looking around, there were actually only two. they were at a table where the kids who are supposed to be seated there are playing in the grass outside.

    while ordering, we actually needed to repeat our orders three times as the waiters were so busy about other things, leaving our table while we were talking to them. the last waiter was actually pushing a menu item which was more than what my family can actually consume.

    when we asked for glasses of water for everyone, the waiter gave only three glasses, despite the fact that there were five of us at the table.

    it was such a chore calling the waiters to the table, and we often had to resort to hand signals from across the room to tell them what we needed.

    when we asked to extra sauces, the waiters declined, saying those cost extra. really? you don't want our orders?

    while the food was excellent (4/5), it was not enough to offset the terrible service (0/5). they made us feel that we were wasting our time. this was the deal breaker. we will not eat here again.

    we went out smelling like food, feeling like we wasted our time and money.

    unless they improve their service, i do not recommend this place.

    The food smells good and taste good!

    Approachable and accommodating staff. They even taught the first timers how to prepare their hot pot.
