My phone order took 2 hours to be delivered. Their excuses were: the deliveryguy was new, the deliveryguy had to deliver another order before mine, the deliveryguy was not picking up his phone, their manager had not arrived yet, they don't know the number of their manager... Blah, blah, blah. Just one word: unacceptable. The food and the value were not worth the two-hour wait.

Get the Double Master Burger, it comes with two sloppy patties and a dollop of their very awesome chili. Also get the Master fries which are basically chili fries with cheese.

If youre into the whole rice burger thing, go for the yakiniku burger

For drinks the Green Tea shake is great, much like the Starbucks green tea frap at half the price

Master burger that is. When one of my Japanese friends spoke to me of a Japanese restaurant that serves burgers the Japanese way, I just had to try it. And true enough, the whopping Master Burger immediately moved me to submission.

The shop specializes in burgers and fries. The fries are great, crisp and thick without being oily nor too salty. If you add their yummy master sauce in it, you'd get to enjoy their Master Fries. Their Master burger is a "sloppy-joe"-esque burger, practically one of the best burgers in town.

But their burgers aren't bound by the usual round of beef. They also have Japanese rice burgers served either with Yakiniku beef or with Kimpira (Kimpira is a dish served with vegetables and 'gobou', a burdock root). Recently, I tried other burgers such as their Teriyaki burger with tartar sauce. Who knew Japanese tartar sauce has eggs in it! They also have fish burgers and chicken burgers available for people.

As for drinks, other than the staple soft drinks, they also serve Calpis, yummy shakes, and cold green tea.

Yes, as you can see, I love the place that I know their menu by heart. But that's just half of it. It is a small restaurant but has the atmosphere of a bustling family restaurant. The waitresses greet you with a warm "Irraishaimase."And if you're with the kids, tenchou (the manager) might even give or teach your kids an origami or two. You know it's the real deal because Japanese nationals staying in Manila frequent this place. Maybe because they feel home when they're at Sango. Then again even non-Japanese like me enjoy this place and consider this as a 'tambayan'. It's got great burgers, yummy drinks, lovely people, and, well for me, Japanese comics. What more can I ask for?

More than just a place for burgers, Sango brings a taste and feel of a more westernized Japan for those are curious.

Need I say that they've also upgraded their toilets to the famed Japanese high-tech toilets? :3

the service, wonderful. the food, delicious. the prices, the greatest! i just ate at sango and because it was my first time to eat there, the staff really took pains in explaining the items in their menu. i asked for their bestseller and the lady recommended the yakiniku burger. it was awesome! blew me away. i also tried their calpis (some lactobacilli drink) that was both delicious and
healthy. it's a must try for burger lovers.
