    Buffet food cold at 9am(??), processed meat and bony chicken,powdered juice and tasteless re-brewed coffee, service staff did not clean the tables well, coffee cups dirty too, is this place closing down or what?? Josephine Restaurant, Tagaytay

    For people on a budget who wants to enjoy good Filipino food with the great Taal Volcano on sight, then this place is for you.

    The Crispy Pata, Sinigang, Lechon Kawali, Sizzling Chicken, and Grilled Tangigue are all good. Fresh fruit shakes are also good. The place also has an outdoor cafe that serves delicious cakes & pastries, plus heart-warming coffees. However, service is quite slow during peak hours.

    josephine is all about the filipino taste. we had bulalo, assorted seafood and kare-kare. The wait did a good job in serving all entrees at the same time (with ample wait time). However, i find the kare-kare soup a little bland and malabnaw.
    Tiramisu is a winner!!! The cream is just right. I'm glad I left room for dessert.

    We got one of the best seats in the house. A 180 degree view courtesy of the giant windows. The resto management should do a little something about the viewing deck -- not a pretty sight.     Josephine Restaurant, Tagaytay

    In Tagaytay I'd place Josephine's fourth, next to these three-- Antonio's, Sonya's and Buon Giorno.... in that order

    Josephine.. who's gone to Tagaytay and never tried this restaurant?

    When i was younger, I remember this as a restaurant we would frequent with my family... once upon a time when the horses were still strong, healthy and massive in Picnic Grove.

    Even the branch in Manila was patronized by my parents. It was good.. til they expanded to Manila and eventually closed their branches.. maybe due to labor problems..? I duno for sure.

    When they opened again, it's gotten better. A LOT BETTER.. Place is bigger and finely done.. fancy looking place now. Looks like it was built for functions. More servers. More food choices. All finer details improved without the high price tag.

    It's the place to go to with the family. Big groups would swamp this place... Despite the enormous dining area, i find it always packed and have to wait to be seated!

    Who would forget the cool wind and the view of Taal from here..? Most people would've probably seen it from here. They deserve the award.. The write-up is true about this place.

    It's been awhile since the last chow. I wonder how it's like to eat there now..     Josephine Restaurant, Tagaytay
