We always go to Banana Leaf in Alabang after church every Sunday when I was younger. They used to have this big place there beside Gloria Maris but my younger sister told me that they have closed down 2 years ago.

2 years ago my friends and I decided to eat at this location for dinner and it was great! I always had Tilapia fillet with Malayan cream sauce and always pair it with Thai style fried rice with shrimp paste. Since it was not my first time, someone asked me if the squid was any good. I'm not really a big fan of squid (esp most resto does not know how to cook it properly) but their version of grilled squid is perfect!

Service is great and the ambiance is ok but a little bit pricey for small servings.

am rather frustrated than happy to eat! i went there to treat my family for a lunch...it was such a lousy lunch! the pomelo salad is blunt for a pricey tag! we opted for beef rendang, which they say was there best seller, it was dry and pricey again and the serving is disappointingly small!the thai spareribs is claimed to be authentic its all gooey with cornstarch i'd rather eat at jatujak in moa! the pomfret with sambal was yet again pricey was super dry with lesssssssss sambal in a banana leaf parcel. the worst is pad thai...!its like your local pansit.overall am not satisfied...its a mixed of asian treasure but what i ate is a morsel! i wont recommend this to those that is discriminating with their pallete! Have been going to Banana Leaf since they first opened in old Greenbelt. Stopped going for many years when the original site was torn down.

Being a great fan of Asian Cuisine, would say they flavors are quite good most of the time. Started going back again this year and discovered that many of the dishes are still quite good. A favorite is the wok fried lamb curry. Upon our last visit, this took to a sweeter than usual turn. They should stay away from the common tendency of many restaurants to go sweet. Tsk! tsk! This was enough to make us stop going for a while. As whole, it is still a good place to go it you miss Asian food.

Food: is just average, nothing really fancy with the taste. though their curry really is rich in the curry flavor without being too much for the senses.

Service: is good, they were attentive with the requestes and the waiter really knew almost everything we asked about the dishes. However, i wish they didn't take out plates until it was empty.

Amabiance: was alright for a first timeer like me, it was pleasant to the eyes. cool lighting. except for the noisy atmosphere.

Value : I'd say is too expensive for the quality. bordering too expensive to somewhat just right being in a posh mall.
