With its airy, modern and open floor plan, Haiku offers traditional Japanese staples. “Haiku” is a form of Japanese poetry, and their food is indeed poetic in taste and presentation. Try their Nabeyaki Udon (or Soba), a noodle soup dish that is, in my opinion, the best I have ever had in Manila. Price to portion ratio was acceptable. Service was excellent! we were out friday night and greenbelt has its usual crowd. we are undecided where to dine, and we spotted Haiku, not too crowded. we ordered a feast if you ask me, there's only four of us but there's too many on our table. not! we finished everything, (kani salad, udon, rice bowls, maki) except fot the gyoza. after that we are so full we cant walk. oh we will definetely come back. Haiku's food reflects the simplicity and profoundness of the eponymous Japanese poetry. So when I was craving for sashimi and sushi and deemed Little Tokyo too far a walk from my Makati office, I crossed the street to Greenbelt and see what Haiku has to offer in terms of fresh, edible raw fish.Rating

I initially wanted to order their Chirashi but when I flipped the menu further, I saw their Sashimi-Sushi Combo (Combo 2 in the receipt). It has all the staples - Tuna and Salmon Sashimi, Kani sushi, Tamago, Unagi and Ebi. But what really made me go for it were the inclusions of Hamachi (Yellowfin Tuna) and Kajiki (Blue Marlin) sushi, both not in the menu of the usual Japanese QSRs - all for 440 pesos with a little bowl of miso soup. Given the presence of such prized sashimi, I expected the servings to be on the meager side but I was pleasantly surprised when a sushi plate laden with generous slices was placed on our table. Around five or six thick maguro and sake slices were there. The hamachi were delightfully fresh and fatty but however, sliced on the thin side. Still, it was a feast of freshness. I also tasted my wife's Ebi Soba and was wonderfully placated by the invigorating broth and filling noodles.
Overall, it's a good dinner. The restaurant wasn't crowded and the interiors gave a modern Japanese feel. I'll go back there again. Haiku, Greenbelt 3 - Was this review...? Useful | Useless | Bogus

I love the food here. I have been a regular customer to this place, they serve good japanese with a twist. Try the Tempura, haiku salad, sukiyaki or the chicken ramen. love it! Haiku, Greenbelt 3Rating

I've been a regular customer at Haiku Greenbelt for almost 4 years now and the only thing I can say about them is that the quality and the quantity of food is neglected, meaning its deteriorating. The place is good for Japanese fine dining but the servers are just plain noisy with their kitchen facing the entire dining area. The choice of music sucks as well, the least they could do was do a laid-back sakuhatchi music for authenticity yet they choose to play somethings that are not even Japanese to begin with. I hope they improve on their food quantity without affecting their already unreasonable pricing and probably train their servers to be less obtrusive and less noisy. Haiku, Greenbelt 3Rating
