A Dying Biz?

TGIF is no doubt, a fun place to be in.
I've always loved the food, the ambiance, the servings ... etc. I normally frequent the Glorietta and The Fort branches. However, this branch was rather disappointing.

I went there for the first time with my boyfriend and we were super hungry one night, after a business meeting. I even recommended the place; it was his first time at TGIF. We ordered some best sellers and fave chicken meals. Of course, the photos on the menus are always bigger than expected (in any store) but we didn't expect that it was too small for a serving at this branch!

Prices have indeed gone up but I think the quality of service at this branch is far from how I experienced it from Glorietta and The Fort. The servings now don't really seem to satisfy even one person. Before, such orders can suffice my hunger and share it with someone else. Now, I dunno what happened. Is this a dying business now? Too desperate for sales so prices have gone up and the servings are smaller? I hope not.

Hope it ain't too late for this branch ...

When my American lady cousin asked what wud b a gud place to dine for 30 mix young n old Friday's was d immediate answer. Boy! Friday's didn't let me down during our dinner last 15Jan2011 Sat. Everything went well from advanced reservtn to food selection to payment. The crew was very good, courteous, kind, attentive, etc. (Hope not bcoz of our number.)

My cousin left very happy n satisfied that evening. Thanks for making her stay with us memorable.

disappointed at this branch

We went here for dinner with a group of friends last 17 December 2009.The service crew went around and took our orders individually, when he served the food it wasn't what my other friend ordered. The place wasn't even busy that night to get the orders mixed up.I think the server wasn't listening well.I also noticed that the plate I was using were stained and the table cloth is already old.Time for new ones?No complaints about the food, food is always great and huge servings.

it's just not the same anymore...

haven't been to tgif for a couple of years now... oh boy, i wasn't missing much...

prices have gone up, portions have gotten smaller... i'm not particularly impressed with their menu now...

if i'd spend that much money for a meal, i can go to much more places that would offer more elaborate dishes for that price...

service isn't as good as before...

one more thing, the place stinks... yosi smell everywhere, even sa non-smoking... it's like the yosi smell is stuck in the 4 corners of this resto

oopppsss i must not forget to mention, i went there coz i was craving for mocha mud pie... good thing, it's still good as before...

T.G.I. Friday's has changed

It's been a while since we ate at Friday's. Friday's was one of our favorite restaurants since year 2000. We always ate there at least twice or trice a month. But since they removed their Bistro discount card (I think that was 2 years ago). We don't go back much to TGI Friday's. Anyway, We had dinner at TGI Friday's last January 4, 2009.

Here's my review:
We ordered our all time favorite chicken fingers(had 3 orders of that), Cajun chicken and Chicken fried chicken. The chicken fingers is still good as before. While the chicken fried chicken taste just like chicken fingers. The difference is it's not chopped into strips. Though the sauce of the chicken fried chicken is so yummy! One of the best sauces I’ve tasted.

Food: Very yummy. I have no complain with regards to the taste of the food.

Service: Our food was served after 20 minutes of waiting. Which I believe is too long for a waiting time. Drinks were not served first (maybe they don't want us to take advantage of the bottomless). I asked for extra bbq sauce for the chicken fingers, it was served at about 10 minutes.

Ambiance: Like the usual the place was still nice. Except that I can smell someone is smoking. I believe it came from rembrant hotel which is beside them. They should have sealed their doors properly.

Value: Price is too high. We never thought that prices will go up that high. Like the chicken fingers, I believe it used to be at around 255 pesos now it 300+ already. Not only the price is high, the serving became smaller. The chicken fingers used to be served with 7pcs, but now its only 5pcs. Because of this Im not sure if we'll go back to Friday's.
