Ive been studying here for about one week and ordering breakfast, lunch, and 2-3 drinks everyday. What's good about CBTL is their food options, but CBTL TRINOMA has one of the worst services ever. Throughout my stay, I've seen only person at the counter even if there were two counters that could have been used. On one weekend, the line got so long but the barista at the counter didn't care. She took her time getting the orders, joked with her fellow baristas and would casually walk towards the kitchen to check if the food items from the menu are still available, thereby holding the line for a longer time. There were times when 2-3 food items were not available because of delivery problems. Some of the items that were not available on two separate days were their anniversary tea latte, Caesar salad, spicy chicken salad, and sardine pasta.

Some of the baristas are also very snooty. I spent not less than 800 pesos (sometimes my bf would have dinner with me pa!) per visit and they treated me as if I were a nuisance. Note that I often studied during weekday mornings when there are hardly any people around. The last draw happened earlier today. I went to the counter and saw that what I wanted to order was not the one being given to me. I informed the barista who had no problem telling me it was MY FAULT. She was correct though- it was my fault. Since i had already paid for my food, I wouldn't have traded it anyway but what bothered me was how she handled the situation. Starbucks would have said "oh, I'll just change it" and I would have happily refused by saying "oh no, never mind, it is my fault so ill take this. probably good to try something new" Instead, CBTL impliedly said " eh kasalanan mo eh" and made me feel bad. That small thing called service is the reason why CBTL will always be only second best to Starbucks here and around the world. Needless to say, I'm never going back. My stay at CBTL just affirmed my love for Starbucks and my barista friends there. i have 50 Starbucks stars, four Starbucks tumblers, and a planner to prove it :)
