Manburger!

My friends and i who eat REAL burgers and not the manicured gayburgers that some people here want go to Wingman as oftern as we can. The burgers are all good.

Wings - i don't really like wings to begin with, i cab;t make a fair assessment, but my friend say its a good alternative to those that the other restos in the metro sell to people are supposedly good wings.

Burgers - order any of em...it's like a party in your mouth

pulled pork sandwiches - it's like the filling of the sandwich is making love to your tongue. delicious!

Margarita's - if you are nice to the barkeep then he tends to give you a lot more.

Quiz nights - i miss them

Parking - no problem!

Over Hyped, Mediocre, Bring some salt.

I ate here due to some recommendations that it was good. Now, I was reminded, once again, that truth is relative.

I ordered the Home run slider to get a taste of Chimichurri , classic and cowboy burgers; Sliders are mini burgers, by the way. Add, the buffalo wings, of course, as the namesake of the place.

First, the buffalo wings. It needs more seasoning. I still relish the Don Henrico's version (before that restaurant went down the toilet, circa 1990s). This version is just plain sour (due to the tabasco sauce) and a little spicy - a little salt would have improved the taste, but no. It's just plainly unpalatable and you will need to dunk it in the bluecheese tartar sauce to get some semblance that it's food. What I find innovative is that the cook provides carrot sticks together with the wings. Eating the carrots tend to ameliorate the heat from the hot sauce. All in all, I love the carrot sticks more than the buffalo wings.

Second, the burgers. I'm not a big fan of beef and tend to be reserved when dining on it. Honestly, I should have sticked to Sango for my burgers. After eating the unpalatable buffalo wings, I can barely taste the slider burgers. One thing in common about them is that the cook knows how to do juicy burger patties, and he uses salt sparingly. Unfortunately, the dressing destroyed the cooks efforts.

Wingman burger: diners beware; That unpalatable hot sauce from the buffalo wings reared it's ugly head in this burger. I wanted to throw it away but it's such a waste of money.

Cowboy burger: can barely taste the hickory sauce. The flavor of the cameralized onions overpowered everything. It's like I'm, easting some kind of bistek tagalog (tagalog beefstake: onions and beef braised in sweet soy sauce).

Classic cheese burger: If dead cows can say expletives, the cook's ears would be ringing by now. There is nothing remarkable here.

I highly recommend this restaurant for those with heart problems, particularly those advised to lessen their sodium intake.

My total bill comes to around 450+. For unpalatable hot wings plus, under seasoned burgers, it is not worth it.

and the winner for the best wings in town is...

WINGMAN! yup you heard it right straight from Kathryn (see above) For years i have Chili's as my go-to place when I'm craving for some buffalo wings. I like that spicy-sour knockout punch that a well marinated buffalo wing delivers. But sorry Chili's, Wingman OWNS you in every category of buffalo-wing-awesomeness except maybe presentation! What's great with wingman is that its wings have different spicy levels to choose from. So the wings get a perfect score for me.
Now if youre into burgers (who isnt?) then you MUST try the wingman burger! It uses the same wing sauce (winning) from the wings and it just goes surprisingly well with the sumptuous juicy beeefy (my mouths watering as i type) burger patty. SA SOBRANG SARAP MASASAPAK MO ANG WAITER! True story.

Best Wings in Manila Hands Down!!

If you are craving the best wings in town, look no further than the culinary creativity of Wingman at The Collective. In addition to perfecting the Classic Buffalo flavor, Wingman's menu offers an amazing variety of ridiculously delicious alternatives including Asian Invasion, Garlic Parmesan, Mango BBQ, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Honey Garlic, and Hickory BBQ. Asian Invasion is my favorite but I've tried all 8 flavors and none will not disappoint. While the menu also includes great burgers, wraps, slow cooked ribs and other items, my selfish recommendation would be to expand their menu to include the same awesome flavors for the wings in both grilled chicken sandwich and salad form. Beyond the food, the location is fantastic, as they are part of the new hip Collective (B Side anyone?) offering eclectic retail, music/club options for both day and late night shopping, snacking, and chilling. And for you sports fans, they recently installed a huge flat screen and have 24/7 air con to keep the party going....My only complaint is that they don't yet deliver--perhaps it is one of their New Year's resolutions?? Here's hoping... =] Kat
