Value for money quality Japanese food.

My favorites are the usa rib eye, seafood teppanyaki, tekka maki and saba sushi/ sashimi. It is not really cheap but not nearly as expensive as most Japanese restaurants with good quality. The sushi are really fresh and portions fairly generous.
I prefer eating here than Kimpura and kuretake which cost the earth. Not comparable to Inagiku or tsukiji tho but wayyy lower in price point.

Favorite Family Japanese Restaurant

4

Zaifu is our family's favorite Japanese Restaurant in Makati. We love their shoyu ramen, their kani salad, chicken yakitori, chahan (fried rice), dragon roll. But the best buy are their bento boxes or sets. My personal favorite is the ebi tempura set which is a complete meal with miso soup, pickles, potato salad, vegetables, egg sushi, ebi tempura, real sticky Japanese rice. Then I order Lipa buko juice. Real value for money. Try it. You will come back for more.

japanese style

What do I do when my mum is out of the house and I'm not in the mood to cook? I head straight to Zaifu to munch and fill up my tumtum.

I always start off by ordering their Kani Salad. I must say that after sampling almost all types of kani salad available in the different Japanese restaurants in Manila, I came to love that of Zaifu's.

A bowl of ramen is already good for 3 persons.

The bento boxes are also a hit. You get a free soup, the main course and 3 side dishes for the day. Now that's what you call balanced diet within your budget.

The sushis, and the gyozas are a must try.

I love their tables ( the ones located way past the cashier) wherein you get to experience how to dine japanese style. Such ambiance makes me feel that I'm actually dining at home and not inside the mall. The only flaw with regard to the ambience is that there are no doors or glass to filter the noise inside the said resto, for such place is literally open.
